Hi! I'm Stef š Last September, I started running, aged 41, having not run since school. Things escalated! I'm now training for the London Marathon in October š Read the full story
Wow. An actual traffic jam! All very different London out there this evening. š
My favourite hour of the day! I went off one of my usual ārepertoire routesā (is that a thing?) and headed up to somewhere Iāve not been before.
Of _course_ I discovered a strange obelisk along the way, what of it?
This is more of a note for myself than anyone else. Today we had the formal decision to discontinue the main project Iāve been working on. Thank you COVID and IR35! Iām still excited about what Iāve been working on for the last couple of years, so Iām sure this isnāt the last word on me working on sustainability. So I went out early before the presentation for a quick six around the park. Iām preferring grass and the woody paths at the moment t. Glad I did, so I felt calm and together for the meeting.
Continuing my āhalf marathon per weekā plan, for week sixteen (!) I thought Iād run into Westminster. Iād heard it was super quiet in central London and those whoād shared that were right!
Compared to running on Dulwich, where outside our house thereās a constant stream of people, and the park is getting crazily busy, this felt so different. Much safer! Hyde Park was mostly empty, and around the Houses of Parliament / Buckingham Palace there was barely anyone around.
Weāre having a bit of a wild time of it at the moment with a house move in four weeks, and the future of my main project is up in the air. So, nice to get out and remove some adrenaline, listen to some podcasts and see some nature. Enjoy your Sunday, folks!
Wow! Going to be a scorcher. Stayed safe by going on some quiet roads, but even then I was having to run in the middle of the road. Walked back through the park and glad I didnāt run it - super busy! Stay safe if youāre popping out today.

Thereās an awesome set of Nemoneās Electric Ladyland short mixes on BBC Sounds at the moment. Tonight I went out for a āshort runā and after listening to 1800 Seconds on Autism (which is great too), I put on Goldie. No stopping me then! š„
But gosh, Iāve never seen the parks so busy. Probably need to start avoiding again...
