Hi! I'm Stef 👋 Last September, I started running, aged 41, having not run since school. Things escalated! I'm now training for the London Marathon in October 🙀 Read the full story

Double kindalong

Looks like I don’t need the knee brace now. Both legs are feeling good again!

I went out for an 8-10 but I was still feeling good at that point so extended it to be another midweek kindalong run. Might hit 60k or running this week now.

Midweek Kindalong

Hey! Success! I went out without a leg brace for the first time since I can remember, maybe all year so far?

That’s a good sign!

It started off as a lovely bright golden-hour and ended in the dark! That’s new.

And wow, I’m enjoying Philip Pullman’s”La Belle Sauvage”. Amazing narration - recommend.

Dropped the car off and ran home

We had a trip out of town for the first time in months today. Met up with a couple of our new puppy’s siblings out in Kent. Hilarious!

We still don’t have a car having given it up last year, and the new advantage I have for getting a Zipcar is “I can run there and back” - this one was 5k away, so that’s an extra 10k or running today to bring me up to 57 for the week. Makes up for my missed kinda-long run this week.

Lovely to get out into the countryside. I doubt we’ll be doing that much this year with what’s going on with the COVID stats today :-(

I didn’t manage my midweek kinda-long run but I’m going to try an extra run tomorrow to make up the distance this week.

It’s been an intense week with work. We finally launched the Online Classroom and Teacher Hub for Oak, so we are now more or less live with the new service. That’s been quite a summer project! This week I had some LONG days, so couldn’t fit in all the runs I wanted. But I managed this afternoon to get out for my 30kish run. A couple more of these I think before the marathon!

Hyde Park is one of my favourites and it was a nice day so I wandered up there.

New audio book - La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman. Really as sorting! The kilometres blurred past.

Legs feel good, feeling strong. All good!
